Mathias Steen Rasmussen

Mathias Steen Rasmussen (born 1990) is a young Danish designer with a flair for woodwork and craftsmanship. The Danish designer has a background in art and cabinetmaking, completing with an apprenticeship in 2019.

His philosophy is "honest in construction", which he uses to approach his designs. Concentrating on construction elements and playing with natural materials such as wood and visible joints. Mathias creates contemporary forms using traditional methods. With cabinetmaking expertise, Mathias focuses on wood as the main material source, whilst being inspired by mid-century Danish design.
