Inspired by Denmark’s morning light, the 7:14 AM colours celebrate seven decades of the Series 7™ in 2025. This limited edition palette of five subtle hues complements a wide range of interior styles, enhancing them with a touch of famed Nordic light. The 7:14 AM colour palette captures a specific moment in time – an autumn morning in Denmark. Each hue stands alone as a subtle, natural shade, yet together, they evoke the Nordic country’s famed northerly light. Paired with an iridescent, gold-toned base that subtly reflects light in a rainbow effect, these limited-edition colours will be available only during 2025 as the chair celebrates seven decades.

Affectionately known as the ‘Sevener’, the Series 7™ chair is a Danish design icon. Designed in 1955 by Arne Jacobsen, its organic form, minimalist elegance, and a new base finish is introduced with the 7:14 AM colours . Crafted from seamlessly welded steel and coated with a zinc chromate finish, it creates a transparent, golden rainbow effect that deepens over time, developing a unique patina. The transparent finish allows the pure steel structure to shine through, revealing natural hairlines from the manufacturing process, which are subtly visible beneath the iridescent tint. The result is a delicate, flecked appearance when viewed up close. versatility have made it one of the most celebrated chairs in modern furniture history.

“The program does not allow for it. I simply do not think that I have the talent for it...no, I am always grateful for the program, this is what evokes the solutions that I arrive at.” Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen's cooperation with Fritz Hansen dates back to 1934. However, it was the Ant designed in 1952 - succeeded by the 3107 series - that propelled his and Fritz Hansen's names into furniture history.

Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) was very productive both as an architect and as a designer. At the end of the 50s Arne Jacobsen designed the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, and for that project the Egg, the Swan, the Swan sofa and Series 3300.

Arne Jacobsen was and is an admired and outstanding designer. While the significance of Arne Jacobsen's buildings was less appreciated, his furniture and other design work have become national and international heritage.
