Denmark's annual design event, 3 Days of Design, returned from 15 – 17 June in Copenhagen with a city-wide showcase of new design launches, workshops, talks, and parties. The streets were buzzing with energy and passion for design, and our CULT team from Australia, New Zealand and Singapore had such an inspiring time reconnecting with our brand partners.

Fritz Hansen.
To mark their 150th anniversary, Fritz Hansen joined forces with Henning Larsen Architects to build the Fritz Hansen Pavilion - winner of the 'Best Exhibition' award. Founded on sustainable principles and circular design thinking, following the fair Designmuseum Denmark are using the unique structure for workshops, school lectures and talks. After the summer, all materials will be recycled and used for the reconstruction of the Fritz Hansen headquarters. Noteworthy new releases include the Anniversary Collection, plus PK0 A chair and PK60 coffee table by Poul Kjærholm.
The Anniversary Collection
A celebration of some of Fritz Hansen's most iconic designs of the past 150 years. Pieces by Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm are reinterpreted through the use of new fabrics, colours, and materials, honouring their timeless design. Curated to stand together as well as alone, the designs bring beauty and function to living and dining spaces alike.
PK60 Table & PK0 A Chair

With just 600 pieces in circulation until now, the PK0 A™ chair is the result of Kjærholm’s continual and careful consideration for challenging the boundaries of manufacturing techniques. In addition, Kjærholm’s PK60™ is released for the first time since it was designed in 1952. Revolutionising industrial techniques and contrasting the modular designs of the era, the PK60 takes its design cues from modern art – most notably the works of Japanese sculptor Isamu Noguchi.
Oneline

Oneline is a minimalist yet richly detailed LED lighting fixture. It draws clear references to the work of Poul Kjærholm: pure forms shaped with uncompromising
craftsmanship from beautiful, natural materials. Available in stainless steel, brushed brass or steel with black PVD coating, polished brass hardware completes the design.

Jaime Hayon’s purposeful and playful Happy Hook and JH Tray are now available in a new brass finish.
Montana.
In a colourful and inspiring exhibition, Montana invited visitors to their Copenhagen showroom to present Montana Kids, the brand's first range for children. In addition to Montana Kids, Montana unveiled new designs for the bathroom.
Montana Kids News

With the launch of Montana Kids, the Danish furniture brand presents a collection of small furniture for the littlest people in the household, created in collaboration with design studio Hvass&Hannibal. The new Montana Kids collection comprises the Monterey Kids table, the Kevi Kids swivel chair and the Mini Play box.

Montana Furniture also presented a range of furniture to spice up the bathroom area, adding four new pieces to their Selection series. RIPPLE is a small cabinet with a rippled glass door that's perfect for storing wellness and beauty items, and PREPPY is a mobile storage unit with castors, two compartments and a tray on top – ideal for storing towels. Montana also launched two mirror designs: SHELFIE, a rectangular mirror with a shelf, and AROUND a circular mirror. All four new products are available in 40 eco-friendly colours and produced in water-resistant MDF, making them suitable for bathrooms as well as other areas in the home.
GUBI.
Throughout 3daysofdesign, GUBI presented a special celebration of al fresco living, opening the showroom for a one-of-a-kind exhibition of outdoor furniture, as well as featuring new collections by renowned 20th-century visionaries such as Joe Colombo and contemporary design duo GamFratesi. Visitors also had the opportunity to discover the accompanying installation ‘La Dolce Vita Long Table’ curated by Helle Høgsbro Krag from Crème de la Crème à la Edgar – a homage to the joys of outdoor dining. The exhibition was accompanied by the Let’s Go Outside sessions – an exclusive program of 30-minute talks from guest speakers sharing their passionate perspectives on the outdoors.
Doric Table

The Doric Coffee Table takes its name from the Doric order of ancient Greek – and later Roman – architecture. The defining feature of the Doric Tables is the inward curve of the legs, the result of material subtraction from a simple shape. Available in two sizes and two types of natural stone, travertine or limestone.
Beetle - 3D Veneer

The Beetle Chair was first launched in 2013, and now a decade later, the studio has reimagined their landmark design concept in 3D timber veneer – giving the Beetle a bold new natural expression. Available in oak and American walnut.
Basket Collection

First produced in the late 1960s by specialist rattan furniture manufacturer Pierantonio Bonacina, who commissioned Colombo to design it, the Basket Collection is relaunched by GUBI after decades out of production. The collection includes a lounge chair, two-seater sofa and three-seater sofa.
&Tradition.
For 3 Days of Design 2022 &Tradition hosted two exhibitions. The first, titled 'The Home of &Tradition' at the brand's revitalised headquarters - a 20th century three-storey mansion in central Copenhagen - invited visitors to experience masterly design with personality.In close collaboration with Italian design studio, Studioutte, the space was transformed into an expressive and dynamic space that explored the boundaries and connections between art and design.
The second exhibition, 'Studies of a Table', was held at Apollo Kantine adjoining Statens Museum for Kunst. &Tradition invited 5 artists from Japan, South Africa, LA, India and Denmark to design and create a table to be auctioned with all proceeds donated to develop art and design in the local environments of the artists.
Cruise Rug

With its soft graphic identity, Cruise is a handcrafted rug that creates a sense of coherence between the furniture and accessories in a room. Crafted from high-quality wool with bamboo silk woven into it, the Cruise rug comes in two sizes – 240 x 240cm and 200 x 300cm – and two travel-inspired colour tone options: Aden Desert Beige and Bombay Golden Brown.
Framed Rug

Made from 100% New Zealand wool, the Framed rug provides accents of colour without overpowering a room. Crafted from two weaving techniques, it contrasts a vibrant hand-woven border against a calm, monochromatic kilim centre.
Other novelties include the Capture Coat Stand, Tabata Wall Lamp, Margas Chair, Caret Table Lamp and Bellevue Anniversary Edition Lamp.
Karakter.
Karakter presented CO / WORK at its Copenhagen showroom - a design exhibition on the interplay of home and work curated by Ark Journal with icons and new releases.
GB Lounge

Comfortable and casual, this iconic chair from 1972 remains just as relevant today as it enters production for the first time. Available as a one-seater chair, or with the addition of a pouf, the GB Lounge can be arranged in a variety of ways by connectors that transform it from a solo chair into a multiple seating system.
HAY.
HAY House was refreshed to include the latest launches and previews of upcoming collections, including collaborations with Laila Gohar, Muller Van Severen and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, among others. HAY also celebrated its 20th anniversary with a big disco party at the iconic Langelinie Pavilion.
Sobremesa Collection

New York-based conceptual artist and chef Laila Gohar uses food as a means of telling stories. Together with HAY, she has designed a collection of tableware and kitchen accessories that celebrates the joy of hosting – from sourcing ingredients, to cooking, setting the table, and finally sitting down and enjoying the people around the table. The collection is called 'Sobremesa', which is the Spanish tradition of 'relaxing and enjoying idle moments and each other's company at the end of the meal'. Available from Summer 2022 in Australia.

Vipp.
The gates are now open to Vipp Garage; a mid-century garage turned cultural hub for public events such as concerts, talks, art exhibitions, and supper clubs. Vipp CEO, Kasper Egelund, explains why he's interested in tapping into the experience economy: "We make physical products and believe that they have to be experienced. What better way to do it than to create the spaces and settings ourselves to really enhance the experience of our designs.”
Vipp previewed its new outdoor furniture range on the Vipp Garage rooftop, which will be available later in 2022.
Vipp Outdoor.
Taking inspiration from the shapes, details and functions of Vipp’s indoor furniture, this outdoor range is produced in weather-resistant materials such as aluminium, teak, and ceramic. The collection includes a dining table, two coffee tables, a chair and a lounge chair.
Fredericia.
Fredericia welcomed visitors to their Copenhagen showroom to celebrate an iconic jubilee with an exhibition and limited edition, while highlighting their take on multifunctional spaces embracing both productivity, casualness and togetherness.
New releases include the JH39 Anniversary Edition in Sedge Grass by Børge Mogensen, Savannah Chair Petit by Monia Förster, Piloti Alu Table and Calmo Corner Sofa by Hugo Passos, and Wegner Ox Table by Hans J. Wegner.
Carl Hansen & Son.
In 2022, Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects celebrates its 100 years anniversary. Danish master architect Vilhelm Lauritzen has created several of the most iconic buildings in Copenhagen, amongst others the iconic concert halls Radiohuset and Vega. To honour Lauritzen, Carl Hansen & Søn brings back to life some of his most exceptional works especially designed to adorn these cultural institutions, launched with an exhibition at their Copenhagen showroom.
The Foyer Series

Vilhelm Lauritzen designed Copenhagen’s Radiohuset for national Danish broadcaster in 1945 using exclusive materials, including Greenlandic marble and teak hardwood - today it's one of the finest examples of Danish Functionalism. The Foyer series, was designed for Radiohuset’s magnificent foyer and consists of a bench, a sofa and a lounge chair. It is now made available to a wider audience for the first time.
VLA26 Vega Chair

This chair was designed for the Copenhagen music venue Vega. It had previously only been found in Vega’s historic concert halls, and is now being put into production at Carl Hansen & Son in partnership with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. Lauritzen’s uncompromising attention to detail is evident in the stackable design which comes in an elegant mix of steel, wood and textile or leather.
FH38 Windsor Chair

Designed in 1938, this classic chair was continuously in production at Carl Hansen & Søn until 2003 and is now relaunched with a comfortable seat cushion. Majestic, classic and light in expression.
Louis Poulsen.
Louis Poulsen presented colour-saturated installation at their headquarters, showcasing a selection of Louis Poulsen’s most iconic designs which are now available in a Pale Rose finish.
Mater.
Mater’s 3 Days of Design exhibition unveiled new possibilities and what tomorrow’s furniture production can look like when entrusted to talented architects and designers like Space Copenhagen.
Bowl Table
Waste Edition

Bowl waste edition is made of Mater Circular Materials. An innovative technology allows Mater to upcycle fibre-based waste materials with upcycled plastic waste. Bowl waste edition is designed for disassembly, meaning that the design allows each component in its purest form to upcycle into new production circles. The table is available in three versions.
Eternity Chair

Eternity shell is also made of Mater Circular Materials. The Chair itself is a very comfortable, functional stackable chair with industrial and sculptural features. Eternity is designed for disassembly, meaning that the design allows each component in its purest form to upcycle into new production circles
