Known for sustainably manufactured, ethically produced furniture and lighting, Danish brand Mater introduce two news designs this month, a beautifully fluid extension to the now iconic seating collection by Space Copenhagen, and a re-imagined design made from 96% abandoned fishnets. Built on the beautifully fluid, sculptural and archetypal character of the iconic High Stool, The Dining Chair and High Stool Backrest, the newly designed Lounge Chair is a centrepiece of elegance.

Unique from every angle, the Lounge Chair is beautifully proportioned with a solid wooden frame, unique structure and natural characteristics of the oak or beech wood. The gently rounded backrest and seat are handcrafted and assembled through old craft traditions and made with care for people and the planet. 

Nova Sea

Mater’s latest circular furniture design proceed in plastic ocean waste, the Nova Sea Chair By ARDE is made of 50% fishnets collected from the world’s oceans. The Nova Sea Chair is characterised by its elegant silhouette and is available in upholstered or upholstered options, with or without arms.
