Organic shapes with a contrast
Opposites attracts
The Danish design duo Ernst & Jensen are known for their design with organic shapes and have, during recent years, contributed to Danish furniture with numerous furniture designs. The popular Insula table series is characterised by its soft and asymmetrical shapes, which contrast with the most classic Erik Jørgensen design, the sofa EJ 220, known for its sharp lines.
The small islands
The Insula tables is available in three sizes and heights. They are beautiful standing alone, but also work good together. The biggest Insula coffee table EJ 192 is also available with a table top in beautiful oak.
A natural warmth and a nordic touch
The largest version of the coffee tables, the EJ 192, also comes with the option of having the table top in oak, which adds a nice warmth to the table.
A wealth of possibilities
The Insula collection is available as a café, sofa, dining and conference table. With the many possibilities and its simple design, the Insula tables is suitable for both private homes, hotels, restaurants and offices.
With their joint work in recent years, the Danish design duo of Anne-Mette Jensen (1969) and Morten Ernst (1964) have manifested themselves as exponents of contemporary Danish design.
The duo’s collaboration dates back to their time as students at the School of Architecture in Copenhagen. Here they were both educated as architects in, respectively, 1997 and 1998.
