We have always been drawn to Scandinavian design for its simplicity, functionality, craftsmanship and purity. After twenty years in business, we have grown an extensive portfolio of many Scandinavian design brands. Here, we share our top product and stand highlights presented by some of our Nordic brands at the Salone del Mobile fairgrounds this year, including Mater, Erik Jorgensen and Softline.

OCEANIC TONES AT SOFTLINE // The new Softline collection is presented in an interesting colour palette of balanced tones inspired by the Pacific Ocean in line with the current trends, creating an airy, honest and harmonic setting for living.

CABALA SEATING - SOFTLINE // Cabala is an intelligent module sofa program with endless possibilities of arranging and grouping. The seat orientation can be changed in an instant, and it’s possible to create two different seating directions at once – e.g. to the window and to the fireplace, TV or art piece. This diversity makes Cabala perfect for hotels, museums, waiting areas and of course living rooms. The round corners of the designs create a distinct look with a modern edge, and the high-quality upholstery details complete the look.

BAIXA CHAIR BY BUSK+HERTZOG – SOFTLINE // Baixa is a comfortable lounge chair with a unique design that captures the past as well as the future. The lumbar support turns into the armrest in a flowing, harmonious movement with soft and round lines like the upper part of the backrest. This way a silhouette is formed that resembles a sunset in soft sand dunes, hence the name of the chair.

RICH COLOURS AT ERIK JORGENSEN // We loved the palette at Erik Jorgensen, particularly the deep bold walls contrasted against iconic designs upholstered in rich tan leather – giving the Delphi and Asko a fresh look.

OVO CHAIR – ERIK JORGENSEN // A huge sheet of fresh egg pasta draped over an extra-large wooden rolling pin started the design process for the brand new Ovo chair by British design Damian Williamson. It features folded details and soft curvature.

MATERIALITY AT MATER // At the entry of their stand, Mater showcased an incredibly beautiful and inspirational selection of natural materials used in their earthy collection of furniture, lighting and accessories.

PREVIEWS OF NEW DESIGNS AT MATER // Mater presented a host of beautiful new products including the Nestor chair, Nova chair by Arde, Firefly pendants by Joe Escalona, Mild Steel Storage by Saaw Workshop, a striking bar bench with solid steel angular base and a unique long bar-seat bench with beautiful leather detailing.
