PALISSADE INSTALLATION AT MID16

In conjunction with MID16, on Saturday 13 August Cult together with HAY hosted the Palissade Installation; a leafy one-off exhibition to present the new Palissade collection of outdoor furniture designed by the Bouroullecs for HAY.

Set within a spectacular heritage warehouse in Cremorne which usually functions as a boutique garden nursery, the Palissade Installation explored the intersection between botany, design and outdoor living.

Palissade is a collection of 13 pieces of outdoor furniture designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for HAY. The collection was designed to suit a wide variety of environments, from domestic settings like terraces, gardens and balconies, to more commercial outdoor spaces such as cafés, restaurants and bars. Palissade is inspired by Parisian café-style furniture, and each piece is united by a common visual language of simple lines, repeated elements and gentle curves. The design itself provides comfort and elegance, while the light grey, anthracite and olive colour palette allows the pieces to be at home in both natural landscapes and urban settings.
