NAU RETURNS TO DENFAIR 2018 WITH NEW DESIGNS

Following its local debut at DENFAIR 2017, Cult’s Australian design brand NAU returned to DENFAIR 2018 ( Stand#606) to unveil new designs including the Jolly lighting range by Kate Stokes and the Nola mirror and SIA chair by Tom Fereday. NAU also previews the new Sofala modular sofa by Adam Goodrum in a custom fabric designed in collaboration with Dutch textile company Febrik, along with extensions to collection staples, including a new oval shape for the Molloy dining table by Adam Goodrum and a new bistro style for the Strand table by Adam Cornish.

Once again designed by award-winning Australian firm DesignOffice, the NAU stand took inspiration from the Australian landscape and palette, including photography by Brooke Holm, with natural cork, tan leather and local timbers complimented with brass, eucalyptus and burgundy tones.

JOLLY COLLECTION BY KATE STOKES FOR NAU

Arising from the desire to create a playful lighting collection, Jolly is an exploration of form and material. Translucent, hand-blown glass is juxtaposed against solid-coloured metal rods and shades to create a balance of material composition, while the asymmetric elfin-like form injects a cheerful sense of joy. The collection includes a single rod pendant, double rod pendant and a compact wall light. Jolly is available in a refined palette of black, eucalyptus, burgundy and satin-polished brass, designed to complement the soft glow of the opal glass shades.

SIA CHAIR BY TOM FEREDAY FOR NAU

Named after its unique adjustable backrest, SIA, meaning movement, is a lightweight timber chair that is slender in design yet uncompromising in comfort. Shaped from solid natural timber, the curved seat and articulated back is contrasted by a minimal steel frame that supports the sculptural timber elements and allows for a convenient stackable design. While originally conceived for the dining room, the SIA chair is perfect for both commercial and residential applications. The SIA chair is available with a black powdercoat frame, and the seat and backrest is made with solid timber in ash, black stained ash, oak, smoked oak or walnut.

NOLA MIRROR BY TOM FEREDAY FOR NAU

NOLA is a minimal solid timber wall mirror designed to effortlessly float from the wall. NOLA simply rotates onto a wall with a unique removeable aluminium wall fitting allowing for the mirror to be easily assembled or disassembled by anyone in any home. Constructed from FSC rated solid ash, oak or walnut the turned timber mirror comes in two sizes offering a clean and paired back aesthetic to any home.
